For educators, students and serious history buffs, the Champlain College is rolling out a new Summer Institute in Vermont History and Culture, which is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Historian Willard Sterne Randall, the institute’s director, will launch an interdisciplinary course that he will teach with Dr. Nancy Nahra, director of Champlain’s humanities department. The course will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 5:30–9:40 p.m., between June 27 and July 13. Two Saturday bus trips to historic sites are also included and will run from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Tuition is $840 for three credits or $440 to audit the course; some scholarships are available.
